A Vibrant Card Filled to the Brim with Love

A mason jar stamp and cork hearts make a vibrant card filled to the brim with love. Today is the Design Team Extravaganza at Just Imagine Crafts. Stop by to see what our wonderful artists have created for your viewing pleasure.
~ So Much Love ~
Mason Jar Card With Hearts and Gems
For this card I punched the top sheet of paper on both sides using Punch #311 from Just Imagine Crafts. After inking the edges I threaded ribbon through the punched design and added Robin's Nest Dew Drops in red and neon pink. Of course my dew drops and gem hearts wouldn't stay attached without ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever.

The Mason Jar is stamped onto green paper then
cut out and popped up with adhesive foam.
The cork, gems, and glitter are glued inside.

How to Make an Epic Peacock for a Stunning Card

Gorgeous paper and punches, fine tip glue, and a dusting of glitter is how to make an epic peacock for a stunning card! For this card I used Double Sided paper for the card base, Sparkle paper to layer on top, and Punch #904 for the corners.
Just Imagine Crafts has these and other Kreaxions products.
~ Peacock Glitter Card ~
Glitter Peacock Card with Just ImagineKreaxions and ScraPerfect
My first step was to  die cut feathers from Kreaxions Ombre Glitter Paper and add purple, green, and blue glitter to them. I used the medium No-Clog Writing Cap from ScraPerfect which fits RANGER, Glossy Accents.

I drew thin lines along the edges of the feathers and dusted them with glitter.

I used the same process to add glitter to the peacock image I had
stamped and heat embossed with clear powder on the Sparkle paper I used for the card front.

I switched to the Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect to add the
purple and blue Robin's Nest Tear Drops to the image.

How to Use a Sled to Celebrate Fantastic Winter

After Christmas the walls are bare and it's time to learn how to use a sled to celebrate fantastic winter. Sledding is one of my favorite childhood recollections. Grandma's driveway and a good runner sled were the perfect recipe for learning to fly!
~ Winter ~

Step 1. Disassemble the wood sled and trace the runners and slats
onto the back of the Winter Snowflakes Cardstock

Step 2. Paint the sled pieces with flat acrylic paint, leave to dry.

Step 3. Cut the paper pieces and glue onto the top and sides of the sled. I used ScraPerfects Best Glue Ever to be certain the paper would bond with the wood and not leave wrinkles.

Step 4. Reassemble the sled using the same glue, clamp and leave to dry.
Step 5. Assemble a variety of embellishments using ScraPerfects Best Glue Ever to adhere layers to each other. This is particularly important when using glitter stock.

The Winter label is cut from the Winter Words Glitter Cardstock and backed with Blue Robin Glitter Cardstock.
The punched snowflakes are centered with Silver Dew Drops.
The larger circles and snowflakes are punched from Blue Glitter Chipboard.
The fluted glitter circles are topped with a smaller circle punched from the Snowflake Cardstock,
and the blue glitter snowflakes are topped with Winter Snowflakes Glitter Chipboard and a brad.
A Moss Green Doillie Die Cut and Blue Glitter Journal card finish out the embellishments. Winter Sled with Robin's Nest Papers
Step 6. Decorate sled with layers of embellishments.

Step 7. Hang your artwork with a bit of ribbon and enjoy winters gift of glitter!

How To Remove Adhesive Using the Best Cleaner Ever

I am delighted to show you how to remove adhesive using the Best Cleaner Ever.
The Robin's Nest and ScraPerfect design teams are participating in a cross promotion, resulting in a wider variety of product in my latest shipment from The Robin's Nest. One of these products is an earth-friendly solvent from ScraPerfect.
The Best Cleaner Ever is non-toxic, non-hazardous, biodegradable, and has no harmful fumes. Too good to be true? I tried it out on a selection of brushes, stiff with adhesive. After placing them on a plastic lid I spritzed them with the Best Cleaner Ever. When I checked them later that day they were good as new, just needed a little soap and water.
This set me onto a path of discovery!
What could I try this new cleaner on that would prove its worth?
My first thought was those fabulous faux suede
and fur boots I bought last winter...fancy,
but with an adhesive stain on the right boot.
I have tried a few products to remove the adhesive,
but they just left a smear and still the adhesive remained.
I spritzed the adhesive stain and let it sit for 15 minutes.
First I wiped the stain with a clean dry cloth, the adhesive came away instantly. Then I wiped the area down with a wet cloth, the Best Cleaner Ever rinsed off easily.
I left the boots to dry overnight. There is no evidence
of a stain or of the cleaner I used to remove the adhesive!
Not only do I now have perfectly clean boots,
but I also have many items in mind for my next cleaning spree!!!

Purchase your own bottle of the Best Cleaner Ever directly from ScraPerfect
Or from one of the retail locations listed here:

Make a Wonderful Wreath that Dazzles and Delights

With Valentine's Day only a month away, there is just enough
time to make a wonderful wreath that dazzles and delights.
I can't start soon enough on my heart day cards and decor!!!
~ Valentines Wreath ~
For the base of this wreath I used a 4" embroidery hoop and cones made of drafter's vellum.
The cones were constructed from 2.5"x2" rectangles of paper, cut out with pinking sheers.

Because of it's sheer nature, vellum is notoriously difficult to adhere
without leaving oily smears and unsightly globs of glue.
I was thrilled to discover that Scraperfect's Best Glue Ever turned my
rectangles of drafter's vellum into perfect cones with no fuss or mess.
To arrange the cones evenly I began by placing one at each of the clock stations.
I then filled in the remaining spaces, lining up the narrow tips around a 2" circle.
I added a ring of hot glue on the inside of the hoop for an additional layer of security.

To set the Love Day tone I prepped layers of valentine themed accessories for the wreath.
I glued Green Tear Drops and Neon Pink Dew Drops to a wood heart shape to mimic roses.
I also cut a rose from the Silver Roses Glitter Cardstock.
I wound Silver Straw trim around scraps of Wedding Cut Outs Cardstock and Rosy Cards.
I added a wood heart frame to the corner with a heart and crown
punched from more Robin's Nest Paper scraps.
The red medallion is a 12"x2" strip of Red Glitter Paisley cardstock,
scored and folded every 1/2" and formed into a rosette.
I glued the silver rose onto the medallion, just west of center then added
the be-dewed heart so the edge was flush with the medallion.

I slipped the edge of the layered papers under the leaves on the wood heart
and adhered them securely to the rose and the medallion.

I slipped the Gold Chipboard Bike under the Silver Straw
and a laser cut "LOVE" behind the silver rose.
Finally the medallion was ready to adhere to the wreath.

This mini wreath is only 8" in diameter, but it is a power house of
roses, hearts, and glitter, layered over vellum cones.
What's not to love!

Dazzling Snow Makes for Happy Days and Simple Joys

Non-Traditionalist here!
I love creating with unusual colors and pops of glitter.
The unicorn-bright colors for this card all come from the
Kreaxions Sparkle Duo Paper. This two sided paper has
an opalescent finish with bits of sparkle.
~ Happy Day ~
To duplicate the gold glitter snowflakes:
Step 1: Cut a 3" circle using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter.
Step 2: Use a protractor to divide the circle into 6 even sections
of 60 degrees each.
Step 3: Center Kreaxions Punch #907 on each section.
Step 4: Add glue to half the snowflake, dust with glitter, let dry.
