Today's creativity produced this Mixed Media layout that is rich in pink and rainy day symbols. I spent the weekend with a dear friend in rainy Tacoma. We had a fabulous time hanging out. Along the way we found this sign that defines the greatest quandary of all time!
~ Good Times ~
To come up with my pink texture I mixed modeling paste and acrylic paint. I was very thrifty and used the back of a damaged photo for my palette. A butter knife served as my palette knife.
I had to mix two batches of pink modeling paste. The first batch I spread thinly thru the honey comb frame. The second I used to fill the umbrella/rain boots silhouette. To add texture I used a produce netting.
My inspiration for this layout came from Laurel Seabrook's Inspired By blog. I choose the color, the friends having fun, and the rainy atmosphere for my prompts. This is the offered image:
Along with the modeling paste I also did a lot of stitching. The burlap is stitched to the cardstock and the tabs are stitched onto the photo mat. The two pieces of cardstock are stitched together using a Sew Easy with a Loop-de-Loop attachment.
