oh the PLACES you'll GO!

My dear Scrappy Sister, Marisa, came up with this great sketch for Scrapbook Steals!!!
I just adore hot-air balloons and what a great chance to use them.
~ oh the PLACES you'll GO! ~
How do you like that embossing over washi tape?
A few tips:
1.Make sure the gun is full heated before using it on the embossing powder or the tape will curl up.
2.Don't scrape the embossed image, if the washi is slick the image will crumble off.
Supplies:
Paper:DCWV
Washi Tape:Crafty Steals and MME
Stamps:Glitz, MME, and CTMH
Ink:Ranger
Embossing Powder:Wow
Alpha:MME and Jillibean Soup

Eagle Sighting

Double Feature on my blog today!!!
Paper Girls Challenge Blog has a delicious Color Palette:
Coral, Navy, and Cream.
It was a cinch to combine the color palette with
~Eagle Sighting~
The photos are a little too dark to see the Eagles unless you are in person so here are some close ups.
As you can imagine it was VERY difficult to convince the eagles we meant no harm so we had to take the picture from quite a distance.
Stop by both blogs, get the details, and get CRAFTING!!!

Printed Memories

Monthly Reveal on the Just Imagine Crafts blog today.
I chose to do a layout based on memories of my grandfather's funeral. I really want all the paper strips incorporated into the photo album, but it can be hard to make a page look natural with these type of memories.
~ Printed Memories ~
I decided to go for a classic red and white scheme with simple embellishements. To frame the strips of paper I used solid cardstock and Kreaxions punch # 915. By punching once on each side of a two inch strip I made a flower design and double tabs.
Supplies:
Paper:DCWV
Flowers:Petaloo and Prima

Adore, Cherish, Forever

My neighbor is having a baby (possibly even as we speak)!!!
In preparation I have delightedly searched the internet for fun challenges and then combined them all on this card. Hope it looks like an artfully layered collage rather than an Embellie Sneeze!
~ Adore ~
The first challenge I particpated with was the newest Red Carpet Studio challenge #36:Baby Mama, for obvious reasons!!!
Then, since I never can seem to make myself use my gorgeous Webster's Pages bloomers I checked Use It Tuesday and sure enough, they'd like for me to play along!
I still needed a sketch so I stopped by Rochelle Spears Facebook page for some inspiration. She had linked up with Pamela's World of Scrap:Challenge #235 and the sketch was pure inspiration, with plenty of room for my bloomers!
Finally, I ran over to Scrapbook Steals:Monday Craft Madness #24 and found that they were looking for projects with Dimension. I added gems, enamel dots, and foam adhesive squares under the dog and the baby buggy.

Supplies:
Paper:Webster's Pages
Gems:Prima
Enamel Dots:MME
Flower Trim:Webster's Pages
Punch:Kreaxions #901
Ink:Ranger

Scrapbook Steals Blog Hop

It's a great day for a blog hop and was I ever sent my all-time favorite product!!!

TWINE

Definitly my go-to trim and do-it-yourself embellishment item.
Scrapbook Steals has such GREAT scrapbooking supplies it's no wonder they've added Two Berry Creative twine to their line up.

The catch here is that you may not find these colors of twine on sale to day at Scrapbook Steals. I specfically asked for a natural colored twine because I have been dying to make Tie-Dye Twine!!!
The white twine with silver threads on the smile card is the original color. Not only does it look great against colored cardstock, it also dyes like a dream.
(Look for a future How To'sday on this technique!)

My blog just happens to be one of the stops along the way where you can pick up a challenge for the on-line crop, so here it is:

Challenge #3 - Twine
Since we are showing off twine in today's Blog Hop, use some twine on your project! It can be a little or a lot. Use our awesome Blog Hop participants as inspiration to create something wonderful with twine.
Check out all of the challenges here: National Scrapbook Day Celebration

Enter to win a $20 ScrapbookSteals.com gift code:
Visit each of the designers’ blogs and leave a comment at every stop along the way (including this post). Be this month’s random lucky winner by leaving a comment on one of the eight blogs! So without further delay, here’s the line up:

  2. Memorable Scraps - Neela Nalam
  3. Want Less Create More - Judy Stech
  4. AAlison Day Designs - Alison Day
