A Morning Like This

SWAT:Drill # 27
For my project I used modeling paste. I decided white just wouldn't do so I used my Dylusions mist to tint the paste before applying it over the stencil. I love the bright color that resulted.

Frugal Finds:Cookie Cutters

Practical Scrappers wants to remind you to dig in your stash of unwanted items and make something beautiful! Today we are using Cookie Cutters to inspire you.

This project was super easy and had my kids oooh-ing and aaah-ing over the result.

These are Christmas Cookie Cutters in a lovely forest green. But I wanted something white and blue for my bathroom. To I roughed up the finish a little and painted the cutter with 3 coats of white acrylic paint.
Then I strung beads on floral wire and and wrapped them around the "stump".
A suction cup for the mirror or window finished the job beautifully.

This Way Home

Paper Girls Challenge #50
In my mind, home is an area not a particular house, city, or state. In fact, every time I take the long drive west I can see home in the distance when the mountains begin to show against the horizon.
~ This Way Home ~
For this project I was convinced I needed brown modeling paste. But if you've checked the Hobby Lobby shelves lately, you'll notice they aren't exactly carrying colored modeling paste. But I know my color wheel so I glopped white modeling paste on a non-stick surface, added a splash of brown, a little red, and some green mist and had the color I wanted.
This is my entry for February's C'est Magnifique Sketch Challenge.

Practical Scrappers: Monthly Sketch
Come play along with us on the PS blog!
We've added a linky so we can enjoy your work.

This is another one of those photos that I love to scrap over and over. I had the priviledge of babysitting a friends two children while she was in labor with their third. It was a beautiful day so we went out and had a photo shoot. These sweeties were such good sports that we had a CD full of photos for Mom and Dad when they came to pick them up.

Love

It's all about LOVE on the Paper Girls Challenge Blog.
Stop on by to get the details then get crafting!!!
~ LOVE ~
For my project I decided to try out paper straws. I found 2 colors in the Target $1 section and 2 more colors at Michael's. I traced a quick heart on folded paper, cut it out and then traced my template straight on to the Kraft paper. The straws cut quickly with a craft knife and I used my wonderful hot-glue gun to attach them. A bit of ribbon added bling and it was ready to go in no time.
