Fall Decor Blog Hop

October has an extra Monday so the Paper Girls have lined up a hop.
This time our theme is

Fall Decor

Since fall is when I bring my plants back inside I decided to snazzy them up a little
just in time for the hop.
I got out my mega roll of burlap ribbon, an owl and a leaf stamp, and some ColorBox pigment
inks and stamped a repeating pattern on the ribbon.
A quick fix to be sure, but now my plants have their own sweaters to wear this fall.

What do you have to do to participate?

How about a little extra help with that “Fall Decor”? The Paper Girls Challenge Blog has a Scrapbook Pal gift card up for grabs, which means you're asking what do you have to do to participate?

How do you get your hands on the gift card? Would you like a chance to win?

Get an entry for commenting on each of the blog posts, "Like" the Paper Girls Challenge on Facebook, and being a follower on our blog (all are required for an entry). You will see some fabulous projects and find some inspiration.

You have until Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 11:59pm MST to comment. We will announce the winner on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 9:00 am MST. International readers are welcome to play along but currently we are only shipping prize packs to the US and Canada due to shipping costs.

Here is the order of the blog hop:

Delightful Frolic

10 Things Tuesday at Practical Scrappers:
Doilies
For today's project I decided to make an inverted doilie. I cut a circle thae used my Kreaxions punch all around the inside edge of the circle. It makes a lovely frame for this sweet game of Ring-Around-the-Rosie.
~ Delightful Frolic ~
This page is also my entry for Paper Secrets:
I used corkboard stars and banners, a wooden ruler, and chalkboard paper to make the inverted doily and to back it.
Here's a shot of the journaling strip, the colors are such a soft pastel the camera was having trouble grabbing them.

Silent Question:Sketchabilities #99

Stickers
Flat stickers leave a little to be desired when texture is taken into consideration, but that doesn't mean you can't get artsy with them. For my sticke project I used the negative of two sticker flourishes as a stencil for modeling paste.
~Silent Question~
It was a bit tricky getting the modeling only in the negative space, but a little spillage added to the drama of the layout.
The chalkboard paper looks absolutely fabulous with the white paste and the dramatic red.

Lawn Dear

Practical Scrappers Ten Things Tuesday:Stamping
In my search to try something new with stamping I came up with this idea. I took a laser cut wood veneer, dabbed it in modeling paste, and stamped my layout. It makes a great muted design against the patterned papers.
~ Lawn Deer ~

When I finished stamping modeling paste all over my page the veneer was perfectly distressed so I slipped it behind my photos. Here's a close up of the honey-comb design.

Silas loves this Lawn Ornament at our local Nursery.
He just HAD to do a photo shoot with it.
This layout is my submission for Sketchabilities #98.

Paper:Authentique, Sassafrass Lass
Wood Elements:Prima, Blue Fern Studios
Modeling Paste:Liquitex
Enamel Dots:Ranger

One in a Million

WIRE
Today we challenge you to use wire on a project. I love using new and unusual items in my scrapping process so I embraced this topic fully.

I made wire circles by wrapping floral wire around various bottles on my scrap table and twisting them off. I attached the circles to my card with brads. This idea went PERFECTLY with the September 6th card sketch at Paper Secrets.
Supplies:
Paper, Layered Sticker:MME
Stamp:Sweet Stamp Shop
Brads:Recollections
Ink, Trim:CTMH
Wire:Floracraft
