She's Got Ideas

Bubble wands and chandeliers seem the stuff of dreams to me.
For this layout I found some old photos of my daughter sitting on the couch. She looks so intent, as if her ideas are parading in front of her.
~ She's Got Ideas ~
First I edited a Silhouette image to get the flourishes for the chandelier mask then added circles for the center. Lots of Liquid Pearls and some gems gave the misted shape an oppulent look. The bubbles are cut with my Kreaxions Circle Cutter from transparencies and attached with hot glue.
I fussy cut the figures from the photos and placed her on the bubbles so that it looked like she was "riding the ideas in her mind". The bubble wand suggests the size while the chandelier in the background gives the layout an etherial quality...the tiny subject is floating high in the room.
The doilies that drape the corners were a snap to make with my Kreaxions 4-in-1 punch. The journaling is hand lettered, under the bubble wand.

Field Trip

One of a Kind Page Drafts Challenge
This month Page Drafts and Imaginarium Designs are inspiring us to record that event or someone that makes life special. There are 5 sketches to choose from and a fabulous prize as well.
~ field trip ~
I choose a single page, multi photo sketch. It was perfect for these photos of my daughters end of school year field trip. It had rained for a week straight and then the day of the field trip dawned sunny and warm. How nice it was to hike the trails at Turtle River State Park, have a cook out lunch, and just enjoy nature. Definitely a one-of-a-kind day!
I slipped a bit of hidden journaling in. A brad and lace trim create a pocket so my journaling card can be read or tucked away as part of the design. A mini clothes pin makes a sweet little handle.

Supplies:
Paper:Bo Bunny, Echo Park, October Afternoon

Follow Your Dreams

Drill #32 on the SWAT blog today:
I'm still enjoying my ribbon from the last May Arts challenge.
The seafoam green sueded ribbon definitely has my heart. It is as delightful to touch as it is to see. For these flowers I gathered 5 inches of fabric with a basting stitch and tucked the ends.
~ Follow Your Dreams ~

The frame I used for this project was a black metal affair, that had been stepped on and the glass broken. After a little sanding, Cafe au Late acrylic paint, and a coat of Glossy Accents I had a new surface to decorate. The map paper was a gift from my mother...she knows me well!

Supplies:
Paper:The Paper Studio
Trim:May Arts
Ink:Color Box, Ranger
Charm:Michaels
Twine:MME
Frame:Second Hand
Paint:Delta Creative

The Paper Bakery's Pastel Mood Board
is the yummiest thing EVER!!!!
check out that link HERE.
I fell in love with it right away and decided
to combine it with Sketchabilities # 114.
 ~  #screenshot  ~
For my three pastel colors I chose
pale blue, mint green, and beige.
I used an old fashioned telephone as my image.
The title is cut from acetate with a Silhouette Portrait using arial font. I roughed the back of the acetate with a nail buffer then inked and attached it with hot glue.
I arranged the title myself and would love to share the cut file with you, just leave me an e-mail address in the comments.
The frames around the screen shots were made with
Kreaxions punch #304.
