Happy Place

As I mentioned in last weeks post, Graduate, I was super excited to get a remaining June kit from C'est Magnifique. I had it shipped to Mom's and we had great fun playing with all the goodies inside while I was visiting! This photo box is one of the projects I made.

 

This is what I started with:

 

I covered it with patterned cardstock from the kit, punched a pop-up butterfly in the top, and used a Sew Easy to trace out it's flight pattern.

 

 

Mom showed me these old family photos while I was visiting.

They fit perfectly on the cards (5"x 2.25") I cut for the box.



Hoards of embellishments later and plenty of ink for distressing I have a treasure that aptly displays these old photos.

Washi is one of the quickest embellishments you can add to any project because it is self adhesive and SUPER forgiving. But today the team has some new ideas for you to add to your repertoire.

 

I tried embossing on top of washi tape and decided it adds a trendy touch to a project and can EASILY be removed if the ink smears! Score one for the messy stampers.

Night Rider

Drill #10 for SWAT, and it's all about summer fun.
To me that means days at the petting zoo and late nights at the carnival. I just love the way the lights glow when its dark. The perfect view of them is from the top of the ferris wheel.
