My post for the hop is a Triple Tree Christmas Card.
Kreaxions has such lovely two-sided papers, sized perfectly for card making. I created this card to display those papers and show how easy it is too incorporate both sides in a design.
~ Merry Christmas ~
Cutting and Punching Diagram
Step 1) Cut a piece of two-sided cardstock 5.5" long and 5" tall.
Step 2) Draw a horizontal line 0.5" down from the top.
Step 3) Mark the cardstock 2.25" from the right side, on the line.
Step 4) Make additional marks at the bottom of the paper 0.75" from the right and 3.75" from the right.
Step 5) Use a ruler to draw a straight line through the mark at the top and the 0.75" mark at the bottom.
Step6) Use the ruler again for the mark at the top and the 3.75" mark at the bottom.
This will create a triangular shape for the tree.
Decorate the Tree
Fold the tree along the right and left triangle sides.
To decorate your tree use the Kreaxions Circle Cutter set at various widths.
Set the point of the circle cutter at the intersection of the lines at the top of the tree. Begin the cut at the fold mark and cut away from the tree to the edge of the cardstock.
Cut 3", 6", and 8" partial circles on the left side of the tree. On the right side cut 3.5" and 5.5" partial circles.
On the left side of the tree cut the second and forth section away from the tree at the fold line. On the right side of the tree cut the first and third section away at the fold line.
The remaining sections will be the garland. Fold them toward the tree and cut off the excess that extends beyond the tree. Punch the left and right sides of the garland with a Kreaxions 4-in-1 punch. Some punches will work better than others so test various punches to find the right combination for you!
Fold the punched garland in toward the tree, adhere to lay flat.
For my card I used three different punches
as well as three types of Kreaxions paper.
For the Green and White tree I used
Punch #909 and the Kreaxions Glitter Paper.
For the black and pink tree I used
For the purple and cream tree I used

Believe

Today I have this card up on the Just Imagine blog.
Stop by for product links and tips.
~ Believe ~
The idea for this card began with the pearl cross pendant. I made it with products from Robins Nest and needed a way to present it with style. My first goal was for a gender neutral card so I chose the green ombre from Kreaxions One Tone Rainbow paper. To keep with the neutral theme I added a tricycle and vintage bicycle. Yellow embossed flourishes and sequins add to the vintage flavor of the card.

Supplies:
Paper:Kreaxions, Darice
Ink, Mist:Color Box
Embossing Powder:Stampendous
Stamps: Hero Arts, Inkadinkado

Cross Pendant

Today I have a beautiful Christmas gift idea made with Robin's Nest Mini Dew Drops. Because the Dew Drops come in such a wide range of colors and finishes they are perfect for handmade jewelry. Make something special for everyone on your list this year!!!
~ Cross Pendant ~
These Dew Drop Crosses are simple to make. Begin by choosing the color and number of Dew Drops you plan to use. Arrange them onto your pendant to check for placement and fit. When you are ready to make your pattern permanent follow the steps illustrated below.
Step 1: Pour dimensional medium onto a pendant blank, tip or brush to smooth the medium across the surface.
Step 2: Add Dew Drops carefully, using a tweezer to place or move according to your pattern.
Step: 3 Leave Pendant to cure where it will not be disturbed. I left mine for a full 24 hours.
Once the pendant is dry it can be used to embellish a gift box or placed on a ribbon and presented as a gift.
I used Crimson Mini Dew Drops for the red and pearl crosses
. Hillside Mini Dew Drops provide the green and blue crosses.
The pink crosses came from the Pansies Mini Dew Drops collections.

Squinkie House

Today's project is a re-vamped decor shelf.
My son likes to collect Squinkies and other squishy pencil topper toys. I used my Robin's Nest Paper scraps to give him a fancy place to display his figures. With stencils and a bit of embossing powder this wooden decorator shelf went from bare to bazzinga!!!
Squinkie House
I chose scraps from Pumpkin Glitter Cardstock for the black paper and scraps from Red Rope Glitter Cardstock for the red. I needed just the bare cardstock for this project so I turned the glitter to the back. To begin my project I measured and cut a full set of patterns for the rooms in the house. I numbered them then cut the red and black papers to line the house.
I used a dot runner to stick the squares to my cutting mat so they wouldn't shift during stenciling.
Placing the stencil was tricky. I needed to make sure the seems didn't cut the image in the wrong places. I dabbed the paper through the stencil with pigment ink. I then dusted the red pieces with black embossing powder and the black pieces with white embossing powder.
To get the star-shift look around the Star Wars title I dabbed ink around the embossed letters, dusted it with embossing powder, then used a paint brush to remove excess powder before heating.

To adhere the paper to the back of the shelf I used Super Sticky Tape from American Crafts.

Supplies:
Paper:Robin's Nest
Ink:ClearSnap
Embossing Powder:Wow
