Holding My Grandpa

I particpated in  Kerys Sharrock's blog challenge again this month. I was able to combine each of the individual challenges on this one page.
Kerys inspired her readers with a Color Challenge. I particularly enjoyed the combination of the yellow and teal.
Rochelle challenged her readers to use the following stash items: Something Metal (the brads holding the twine) Journal Pocket (I made mine from vellum) and Chevrons (I used chevron washi tape to make the flower below the photo.
Kristi's technique challenge involved outlining a shape with embellies. I outlined my journaling tag with pearls and my paislees with pleated ribbon.
Brenda offered a sketch challenge, always a great way to start a layout!

I decided to have some fun with shapes for this layout and pulled out my Kiwi Lane Designs Templates. I used "Shapes 2T", and "Celebrate 3, 7, and 8." Not only did I trace and cut out, I also used them for inking on the background cardstock and on the photo mat.
